Idaho has no statewide bicycle or eBike helmet law at any age, and no minimum age for Class 1 or Class 2; the operator of a Class 3 must be at least 15, and younger riders may ride along as passengers. HB 500, signed in March 2026 and effective July 1, 2026, folded eBikes into three existing road-safety statutes, so the general rules of the road now apply cleanly to electric bicycles.
