Under P.L. 2025, c. 285, which took effect in July 2026, every eBike must be registered with the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission and carry license-plate stickers on both sides of the front fork, and every operator must be at least 15 and hold either an eBike license or permit or a valid driver's license.
